Q: Does the insert require training to be properly inserted/used?

A: The Navina insert is designed to for ease of use and is reasonably intuitive. However, because this is a prescription device, you or your caregiver will receive instruction from your healthcare professional on how to properly use the insert.

Q: How do I know what size insert to use?

A: The Navina insert comes in two sizes (Standard and Large). It is recommended that you begin with the standard size unless otherwise instructed by your healthcare professional. Upon engaging in daily activities, if you experience leakage or the insert comes out unexpectedly, try the large size.

Q: Do I need a physical examination before I start using the insert?  

A: This is a prescription device. The need for a physical examination will be determined by you and your healthcare professional. 

Q: Is the insert prescription only? 

A: Yes, you must have a prescription from your healthcare professional to obtain the Navina Insert. 

Q: Will I always have to use the Navina insert?

A: The Navina insert is designed to help people manage accidental bowel leakage. How often or for how long you use the insert will be advised by your healthcare professional.

Q: Who may be suitable for the Navina insert?

A: Persons experiencing accidental bowel leakage due to bowel incontinence. The insert is for adults only.

Q: What are the advantages for the user of wearing insert vs pads? 

A: The Navina insert is designed to be a discreet and elegant solution to preventing episodes of accidental bowel leakage rather than simply absorb a leak as would be the design of a pad.
